GFD Trading Limited is seeking to overhaul its newly acquired head office in Stockton.
Having bought the former Barclays Corporate Finance building adjacent to the iconic Infinity Bridge on the Stockton Teesdale Site last month.
“The building had been left for some time since Barclays moved out and is in need of some TLC, but we can see beyond that”, commented Ian Richardson, Owner of GFD Trading.
“ In 2018, we bought what we thought would be our forever home in Billingham; it seemed huge at 2400sq ft when compared to our former leased offices at Hartlepool Innovation Centre. We literally thought, ‘We’ll never fill it!’ So by the end of last year, we had utilised every inch of space and needed somewhere bigger! At close to 10,000sq ft, the new building will give us the chance to expand.”
“ The building is in parts almost derelict; it’s obvious it’s not been well loved. We want to transform the place into a state-of-the-art office building. I know in my mind’s eye what I want to see, but think the scope is beyond my creativity. Hence I’m now reaching out to the country’s top interior designers. I want the wow factor! Something that brings together style and function. Somewhere both staff and customers can come too and really enjoy the experience.” Stated Ian.
